I want to start by thanking all of you for your constant support and prayers. I have seen the fruit and protection of your prayers consistently in my life the last year, specifically, when I got sick so many times over seas. I saw that the Lord was faithful to protect me from many possible worse outcomes.

I am excited to share with you about what I will be doing next! This coming fall I will be doing a five-month discipleship program called Center of Global Action (CGA). This discipleship program is also under the organization Adventures in Missions. The program works on three main things: how to have my identity rooted in Christ, how to be discipled and how to disciple others, and how to make whatever I do—whether a full-time job, stay at home parent, or full time missionary—a mission field. I learned overseas that as a Christian I am always called to missions. This program will equip me to make Christ the center of my life no matter what I do. I am excited to see how the Lord will work in my life through this program and the fruit that will be produced because of it.

I wanted to share part of the reason I decided to do this program. First of all, God asked me to do it, and I believe that and after He has called the only logical step is to follow. Many times, this is often harder said than done.  The second reason I decided to do this program was because of a passion God has put on my heart. While I was in Guatemala, I got the privilege of speaking to a long-term missionary whose heart is more toward discipleship than evangelism. He taught me that God uses both evangelism and discipleship as a mission field. God showed me that He created me to love relationship and growth. I love getting to walk with people through the struggles, calling people higher, and seeking the Lord with people in all situations. I am excited that this program will equip me on how to follow this calling and how to make discipleship my mission field whether that is in the United States or overseas.

I still don’t have any long-term plans, but I am excited for what the next five months have in store. I have to fundraise $5,900 for this program. If you would like to donate, that would be a huge blessing. I would also appreciate your prayers as I stretch myself in new and challenging ways. I am excited to continue posting blogs about my time on the race, the next five months, and wherever the Lord calls me next. Thank you again for being such a strong support system for me. I am blessed to have each and everyone of you in my life.
