โ€œWhat are you going to be when you grow up?โ€ That is the standard question every child hears from kindergarten to twelfth grade. Unfortunately, as you get older people also want to know how you are going to accomplish your dream goal. Telling people I want to be a Veterinarian is no longer good enough. I was never able to answer that question because all I knew was God was calling me to service. However, that answer did not satisfy most people. As I started researching colleges and other possible options after high school I knew they were not where God was calling me for this season of life. That was when a friend told me about the World Race Gap year and other mission-focused gap year programs. I immediately felt a sense of excitement and peace about pursuing the World Race Gap year program. I am hoping that through this gap year I will grow in my faith and learn how God is calling me to serve his kingdom not only for the next nine months but for my entire life.
